INTRODUCTION

 

In computing, there are several aspects that we can take into account, one of them the importance of cloud storage and for this reason we are here to talk a little more about a specific Google Drive application, but what is Google Drive? It is a cloud storage application below, we give you more details, also as the next topic we come to talk about what flash memories are, how important they are since we use them daily, do you know that there are two types of flash memories? To finish, we have come to talk about the External Hard Drive, the importance of having it in good condition, of knowing its use and the care of these devices since they are very fragile, when it comes to touch and maintenance.

CONCLUSION

 Through the work presented through a blog, as a team we have made a summary of the topics that each member of the team has decided, in relation to the topics that have been studied in class. The themes, “Google Drive”, “Flash Memory” and “External Hard Drive” were chosen. We apply the Future Perfect in the five sentences of each of the topics.  What is Google Drive?

Google Drive was introduced by Google on April 24, 2012. It used to be called Google Docs, but at launch it was modified along with other things. It is one of the most well-known hosting sites in the world. It also provides security for the data it stores on its servers.

Google Drive is characterized by its intuitive and minimalist interface. With many functions for uploading documents, videos and folders. It's so easy to have a Google Drive account because when you create a Gmail account and your Drive account is created, with 15 Gb of free storage.

Google Drive keeps all items up to date automatically, so you can make changes and access the latest version from anywhere. Google Drive offers many ways to view, search, and sort your files. It includes powerful search options (including the ability to search for text in images) so you can quickly find what you're looking for.

Flash Memory

What is a flash memory?

Flash memory is a type of chip used for data storage and movement. This technology can be found in cards, USB devices, digital cameras, MP3 players and other technological elements, for example use in debit and credit cards.

Flash memory can be said to be an EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory) whose programming and erasing is done in large blocks. It is based on semiconductors and its reading and writing are done by electrical impulses.

A USB flash memory, also known as a pen drive, is a very useful accessory for saving and reading photos, music, videos and any other type of file or document. A photographer, to cite one case, can use such a flash memory to store images and then edit or display them on any computer. A writer, for his part, has the possibility of resorting to this technology to make a backup copy of his texts.

How many types of flash memory are there?

NAND flash memory. This has in its favor that it is faster than the NOR and has the particularity that it needs to proceed to require what are additional mechanisms. These two characteristics make it the necessary option when the intention is to replace a memory card.

NOR flash memory. This one stands out, for its part, because it is slower than the previous one, but also because it gives the possibility of carrying out random access storage. What this means is that it uses the complete data buses and also the corresponding address. For all the above, we have to indicate that it is the best option when it comes to replacing ROM memory chips.

The hard disk drive is one of the most important components within the hardware since in this will be stored all our personal documents, that is why it is very important in our computer.

Hard drives can be of various types depending on the needs and budget that this has available since these can vary depending on the speed and capacity of these, some of them are:

1.                HDD hard drive: these hard drives are made up of mechanical parts and the data is recorded on a magnesium disk, they are usually cheaper and are the ones with the highest existing capacity with a capacity of 10TB.

2.                SSD and M.2 hard drives: they are the alternative to hard drives and higher cost, but all this thanks to their great data reading speed.
